In case you didn’t get the War and Peace email, visit the Mission Impossible: Ulysses survey to give us your feedback about the program. It will help us shape our next series of programming for War and Peace. Even if you attended just one meeting, your opinion matters to us. Thanks!

We made it into yesterday’s issue of the Evanston Review! Read it online or pick up a copy. It’s exciting to see our achievements as a group highlighted in this way. Kudos to all of you!
Beth from my Thursday group shared this great Argyle Sweater comic from last Saturday’s Chicago Tribune. I just had to pass it along for your enjoyment.
Bloomsday is nearly upon us! As promised, I have some information about our June 16 celebration. First, all are welcome, not just veterans of Mission Impossible. We’ll have games, music, a raffle, and more. Of course, we’ll talk about Ulysses. The evening will also be an opportunity to pick up your certificate of completion and your mug if you bought one (if you can’t come, just stop by the Reference Desk after June 16).
The event will last from 6:30pm until about 8pm and will take place in the Main Library’s Community Meeting Room (First Floor). It will be casual – stay for the entire time or drop in for a few minutes. Registration is not required. If you’re planning on stopping by the Celtic Knot afterward to continue the celebration, reservations are recommended. Hope to see you on the 16th!

Just in case you didn’t get the email about our commemorative mugs, here’s the info again. Please note that mugs are available for anyone to purchase; they’re not limited to those who have finished the program.
Mugs are $10 each, and will be available in limited quantities. The payment deadline is Friday, May 27, 2011. If you’re writing a check, please make it out to “Evanston Public Library” and write “Ulysses mug” in the note line. Feel free to bring your payment and mug_order_form to your discussion group next week, or drop them off at the Reference Desk (third floor). If you’re mailing your order form and payment, please address it as follows:
Attn: Karen Hansen
Evanston Public Library
1703 Orrington Ave
Evanston, IL 60201
I expect to receive the mugs in time for our Bloomsday Celebration on June 16 (details to come). If you won’t be celebrating with us, you will be able to pick up your mug at the Reference Desk (third floor) after June 16. Finally, because I need to estimate how many to order, it would help me if you let me know if you plan to purchase one. Drop me a quick email at email@example.com.
Below is a preview of the design on mugs we’ll be ordering. Don’t expect it to look exactly like the preview.
Thanks to all of you who were able to stop by last week’s artist reception for Leonid Osseny. It was a fantastic time! If you missed out on going to the reception or on seeing the exhibit, you can see some of the 36 Views online on Leonid Osseny’s webpage on the Lincoln Terrace Art Studio website.
Additionally, I’m re-posting Russell Johnson’s interview with Leonid. Click below to read the entire interview.
